Female executives make their mark on the world of retail technology
Chain Store Age selects 10 female retail technology executives who have truly demonstrated leadership, passion and innovation in their field.
Some of these women are technology ‘lifers’ while others come to retail technology from other areas of the business (i.e. merchandising and supply chain). Some have always worked in retail, while others have backgrounds in other industries. They represent many retail verticals including mass merchandise, drug store, D2C and apparel.
But they all share a track record of success in selecting, implementing and managing technology to benefit their organizations and customers while overseeing the day-to-day complexities of a large retail enterprise.
Congratulations to Karenann Terrell, EVP & CIO Wal-Mart; Karen Etzkorn, EVP & CIO, HSN; Leena Munjal, SVP Sears Holdings; Barbara Sanders, VP IT chief architect The Home Depot; Nadia Shouraboura, Founder & CEO Hointer; Julie Bornstein, EVP CMO & CDO Sephora; Sona Chowla, President of digital & CMO Walgreen; Kelly Breitenbecher, SVP & CIO Petco; Krista Berry, EVP & CDO Kohl’s; Connie Kristovich, Senior director Nordstrom.
